Our Indigenous Drumming Group in the Boundary

We started this group because there were several community members who had or had made drums but didn’t know any songs. Lead by our Kookum Jo, we gather weekly to share songs of the ancestors using our voices, drums and rattles.  We are always welcoming new members who want to learn and share new songs. Everyone who wishes to learn to drum can join us.

Our Drum

Our community drum was made by the community for the community. It has a bison hide on both sides. Join us at a community event to drum on our community drum.

Wild Mountain Sage in the Community

We have attended and preformed at many community events, including the Christina Lake Winter Fest, the Christina Lake Homecoming Summerfest, Greenwood Founders Day and the Rock Creek Fall Fair. We are always interested in new opportunities to share drumming with the community, so contact us for your event!
