Become a BMCA member!

Anyone! If you self-identify as Métis or if you're an ally and live in the Boundary area or are an MNBC citizen living in the Boundary you can sign up to be a BMCA member.  

Signing up gives you exclusive access to all of our workshops. Workshops are for BMCA and MNBC community members, so if you want to learn some cultural skills and participate, sign up! You will also receive email reminders and other information from us about upcoming events and relevant community opportunities. 

Contact us to request a membership form or set up an appointment to meet with our coordinator to fill out the application.  We are happy to assist you! There is a $10 lifetime fee to join and you receive a BMCA membership card. 

Those who self-identify as Métis, have ancestors from the Red River Valley and can trace their lineage can apply to MNBC to become a citizen. Citizenship forms can be found at https://www.mnbc.ca/work-programs/ministries/citizenship

There are many reasons to become a citizen, both personal and to assist the nation. Becoming a citizen adds you to MNBC's citizenship list which is important for proving the existence of Métis within BC. Being a citizen with verified citizenship allows you access to many of MNBC's services. There are some funding opportunities, workshops and assistance that is available to citizens.
